What pathologies does the VICON Method treat?

We know that the method is proven in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) , but apart from its application in autism... What other pathologies, syndromes, disorders and difficulties can it benefit?
The VICON Method is more than a step-by-step children's learning program , but it has the particularity that it is focused on cognitive skills that fail to develop naturally and that make the child's natural development impossible in all areas of learning. These cognitive skills are motivation, attention and imitation.
The team of professionals behind the Method, with its extensive professional experience in the comprehensive treatment of children with special educational needs, is convinced that in the first instance the difficulties we encounter at the developmental level are due to a lack of motivation , then to a lack of development of attentional skills and, finally, the correct development of imitation skills that are present in a multitude of diagnostic conditions .
We are currently treating children with:
- Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD)
- Pervasive Developmental Disorders (PDD)
- Non-Verbal Learning Disorders
- Down's Syndrome
- Dislalias
- Specific Expressive and Mixed Language Disorders
- Phelan McDermid syndrome
- SanFilippo syndrome
- Rubinstein and Taybi syndrome
- Hyposcusis and hearing deficits
- ADHD
- Hypotonias
- Cerebral palsy
- Maturational delay
- Nicolaides Baraitser Syndrome
- Tuberous sclerosis
- ADNP syndrome
- West syndrome
- Childhood apraxia of speech
- …
The truth is that the application is very varied but the most important thing is the impact of each individual child . Therefore, the 3-week test phase is very important, where we can determine, together, the true impact on each child , regardless of the diagnosis , even taking into account that many children do not have a diagnosis but are already beginning to have symptoms of delay in development and significant difficulties in the areas of learning, language and communication.
