Multiple Intelligences: language learning styles.

In the world of pedagogy and teaching in general, the profiles and learning styles that children have must be taken into account. We are faced with a wide range of preferred strategies in children. Some tendencies that constitute their learning style and that have a lot to do with their personality, with how they approach knowledge, how they interact with objects, what inputs give them the most information, in short, all those things that most appeal to them. attention and move their motivation towards learning.

Have you heard of Multiple Intelligences? the Multiple Intelligences that define the learning style that our children have and their knowledge will help us to promote the greatest possible progress in them. It will make us much more effective when proposing any learning or help in the face of any difficulty in learning.

There are different types of intelligence that define the profile of children and how they deal with their learning naturally...










These modalities are not exclusive but rather combine and complement each other, enriching the integration of information between one or several modalities, also adjusting them to the specific learning objective. Derived from these modalities of Multiple Intelligences we find Mental Representation Systems that enhance some and underuse others. The fact that we use more than one representation system is important because representation systems develop more the more we use them and because they are not neutral but each one has its own characteristics.

In the next articles we will focus on the 3 main mental representation systems derived from these types of intelligence:

  • Visual/Spatial
  • Musical/Auditory
  • Corporeal/Kinaesthetic
