How to survive the holidays!

In Spain we are already in summer and it is a time when the days begin to destructure, the temperature, the spaces and the objects that surround us change a lot... Without realizing it, there are many changes and for this reason, I have considered it important to give you some advice ... Take note!

Always maintain a routine , no matter how minimal, that makes him feel safe, that makes him feel that there is something that remains.

But keep in mind that it is also important to be able to adapt to new circumstances and sometimes, we have to forgive ourselves if we change that structure and arm ourselves with double the patience to ensure that our children do not go with it.

We will observe very well the adaptation to the new spaces. Moments of the beach, the mountains, of going to a relative's house appear on stage... Where we change everything that surrounds us, where we sleep, where we eat, the things we manipulate. These are moments of great stress, where anxiety generally increases and we have to do a great accompanying exercise.

Above all, to try to read how our child is living each of his moments, diagnose which ones do not seem to affect him, which ones he even seems to like and which ones he finds unpleasant and cause rejection behavior and unsustainable activity. All of these moments are very experimental and will help us a lot to educate our children in other situations, which we do not have the opportunity to experience during the year. So try to live them from this experimental perspective and accompany your children, if there are sensory problems with the sand, if excessive heat is your children's structure, always try to stay in cool places at certain times of the day...

Also take into account the issue of clothing , which is very involved with the issue of heat. To do this, try to dress them very lightly to ensure that they are comfortable and cool.

Regarding food , a topic as exciting and as different in summer as it is in winter, paying attention to it and giving it a moment, giving it some time for observation and letting it try, experimenting can be the activity of the day. Making ice cream, playing with ice... I'm sure you have your favorites!

I propose three essential moments , try to introduce a lot of music at these moments to release a lot of anxiety, enjoy and share moments that are a little more relaxed that we don't have the opportunity to during the year.

For those hectic days, go find physical activities, sports, walking, running and swimming. Here I will add that if you can introduce the water to a greater extent, it is a great moment, even if it is filling the bathtub and allowing you to relax in the absence of a pool or beach nearby. And never leave out the soap bubbles, which are always a triumph.

Finally, look for activities that are a little more static, more plastic in which we can touch, smell and play together on the floor at the table on the terrace, always accompanied by our friend music, they will surely be a success.
